Amid entire world suffering COVID-19 epidemic, BCCI confirmed that IPL 2020 (13th edition of Indian Premier League) has been suspended till further notice.
IPL 2020 was schedule to begin on March 29, 2020 with clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings but it was suspended earlier until 15 April, 2020 due to 21-day lock-down announced in India which ended 14 April, 2020.
However looking at the situation after 21-day lock down Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended lock-down further till 3rd May, 2020.
“Due to the evolving global health concerns regarding Covid-19 and lockdown measures implemented by the Government of India to contain the spread of the pandemic, the IPL Governing Council of the BCCI has decided that the IPL 2020 Season will be suspended until further notice,” the BCCI said in a release.
Is Indian Premier League (IPL), 2020 cancelled?
Answer is NO, at present it is not possible but as condition improved possibility can’t be denied.

“BCCI will continue to monitor and review the situation regarding a potential start date in close partnership with all of its stakeholders and will continue to take guidance from the Government of India, State Governments and other State Regulatory bodies.”
